Record-Patriot, January 21, 1981:The Birth of the Benzie County Players occured in 1980. Woody Henry started it all when she produced and directed Love Rides the Rails in the fall of 1979 and See How They Run in May 1980 for the benefit of the Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital. The amateur performers were so pleased with their success that they decided to form an organization dedicated to play production and open to all people interested in any aspect of the theatre. |
